Overview
The Redfoot Fiat EQ Smart Level solutions are custom designed for your Fiat Motorhome. RedFoot have done all the work for you. By custom designed we mean the Redfoot Fiat EQ Smart Level systems include:
1. Custom Brackets that are designed specifically to facilitate the easy attachment of the Hydraulic Cylinders to the Fiat Chassis. No welding required!
2. Custom Designed 12-volt Hydraulic Pump (with manual override) to power all 4 cylinders in extend and retract modes
3. Two or four Custom Designed 2-stage Hydraulic Cylinders that match the low profile shape of the Fiat Chassis. There is not much room to play with that is why we use a 2 stage hydraulic cylinder.

5. Custom Bolt sets that facilitate perfect alignment of all systems parts
In addition to these custom designed features, all Redfoot Fiat EQ Smart Level systems come with:
• Redfoot Smart Level controls

Specifications
Fiat Ducato Motorhomes in Australia can come in many different configurations. When selecting a levelling system for your Fiat Ducato Motorhome it is important to know what chassis type you have.
Fiat Ducato Motorhomes are imported either with a Fiat ‘CCS Cab’ chassis or an ‘AL-KO’ attached chassis. That is the first difference to understand. The second difference is the location of the rear axle in the chassis. The rear axle position is either UNDER the chassis, or THROUGH the chassis.
An axle position UNDER the Chassis means the rear axle sits under the chassis rail leading to an increased height from the ground to the bottom of the chassis rail. This vehicle is considered ‘HIGH’ and Redfoot Levelling are able to use a single stage 13″ Hydraulic Cylinder on the rear of the vehicle that is less expensive.
An axle position THROUGH the chassis (where the rear axle actually protrudes through the chassis) reduces the height from the ground to the bottom of the chassis rail, making the vehicle to sit lower to the ground. This vehicle is considered ‘LOW’ and Redfoot Levelling use a pair of two stage ‘Telescopic” hydraulic cylinders on the rear. It is a great solution but are more expensive.
All Fiat Ducato chassis use a pair two stage Telescopic hydraulic cylinders on the front. It is only the rear where the types of cylinders will vary.
Choosing the custom Redfoot Fiat Ducato EQ Smart Level system is as easy as 1,2,3,4.
Step 1. Determine RV Manufacturer and model of the Fiat. E.g. Jayco Conquest
Step 2. Determine the Vehicle Make and Chassis Model. E.g. FIAT Ducato X250 – AL-KO chassis (Check your compliance plate if unsure)
Step 3. Confirm and measure the underfloor to ground clearance behind the rear axle as shown in the diagram below. If your measurement is above 630 mm it will qualify as ‘HIGH’. If below this minimal measurement of 630 mm then it will qualify as ‘LOW’.
Step 4. Now compile your results from steps 1, 2 and 3 and select the appropriate Redfoot System based on the option selection dropdowns above. E.g. FIAT DUCATO-X250-ALKO-HIGH

Installation
Investing in a Redfoot Fiat Levelling system will bring years of added enjoyment and improved lifestyle with your Fiat Motorhome. The system prices are set out above. In addition to the system prices will be freight and that depends on where you live but generally ranges between $80 to $120. The Redfoot systems are delivered in environmentally friendly packaging that is boxed an placed on a skid (half pallet). This ensures every system is well protected during shipping.
The Redfoot systems can be DIY installed provided there is a good level of mechanical skills available, and access to a mechanical workshop with suitable hoists. We provide a comprehensive installation manual.
We recommend the installation is done by one of our approved installers. Not all installations are the same so a solid level of mechanical knowledge is required. Installation costs range from $2,000 at the low end and up to $3,000 at the high end. The reason they have a range is firstly because different installer have different cost structures, e.g. Sydney costs\rent versus say more country areas where costs can be lower. Secondly, not all installations are the same. For example the location of the hydraulic pump. Normally the pump is located in a storage compartment, however if the owner does not want the pump in a storage compartment then it can be located under the chassis. This will require extra work to build a protective box and accordingly lead to extra cost. Best thing is to talk with your installer about the installation cost.
Customer Reviews
We have installed a set on our motorhome and love the push button process to level our motorhome and also the added benefit of motorhome being very stable with jacks down.”

Colleen Wooley –
I put this message on the Avan owners Facebook page along with a couple of photos showing the front tyes off the ground:
We LOVE our RedFoot levelling system. Those of you who’ve stayed at Lake Bolac will know there aren’t many level sites there. If you look closely at the photo, you’ll see the front tyres are a coupla inches off the ground. Note the blocks under the Red Feet!
We were there just one night on the way home (having called in to Westvic Tyres in Weighbridge Place to get a slow leak fixed – thanks Eric – you’re a scholar and a gentleman!) and the site really tested RedFoot to the limit. Perfectly flat, no rolling/sliding out of bed and a lovely level table to eat from.
Thanks to Chris Malikoff for putting us on to them … (and yes, I know he’s no longer with this group!).
